If you are an EU citizen, you can easily do your entire registration at our One-Stop Service. Read more about the requirements under "Registering as an EU citizen"
If you are a citizen from a country outside Scandinavia, the EU/EEA or Switzerland, you must apply for a residence and work permit from your home country before coming to Denmark. Read more about this under "Registering as an non-EU citizen".
It is important that you register with SKAT (Danish tax authority) when moving to Denmark. SKAT administers your taxes.

When you move to Denmark you have to inform the authorities about your health insurance country
in order to ensure that you are covered sufficiently during your stay in Denmark.

When living in Denmark you can always sign up your child for day care and school.
If you are an EU citizen, are at least 18 years old and live in Denmark, you have the opportunity to sign up for free Danish language lessons.
If you are not an EU citizen, contact Jobcenter Vejle to see if you fulfill the requirements for Danish lessons.
NOTE: There is a limitation to when the free offer ends. You will recieve a letter with the free offer - if you do not do anything, the offer automatically starts two months after you entered Denmark.
